I was recently asked how to add the blogs you follow via Google Reader to BlogLovin because Google Reader will be closing it's doors on July 1, 2013. This is a big deal for those of us who read blogs almost exclusively through Google Reader.
Last year, I put together a post on how to set up BlogLovin and transfer your subscriptions from Google Reader over but Google's changed their options a little bit. So here's an updated infographic for you. I've also edited that first post on How I Set Up BlogLovin too :)

THANK YOU! I already use BlogLovin' but I was able to upload the blogs I used to follow on my old account!
Wait ... what?! Google Reader is closing?! How did I not know this..... :'(
Thanks Katie..I'll have to give this a try. Very depressing about google reader, I can't imagine life without it!
This tutorial is amazing! and so easy to follow. Thanks for the heads up!
I've seen this post all over Twitter and had to say hi and thank you! :) It's SO helpful!!
so confused - when I choose the READER part.....I have 0 MB? and when I create an Archive it's empty and there is nothing to download?
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I was really nervous about switching over, but this has definitely helped ease some of that.
I went lost when you said unzip the file. What do you mean exactly?
Great post! I'm surprised Google is suggesting using Reader because I use Google Reader almost exclusively for blogs and that too is going away on July 1. I'll probably find an RSS reader replacement, but this is super helpful for those wanting to move to Bloglovin!
I am using Feedly. It seamlessly imported my google reader blog and has a fantastic interface. I love it more than Google Reader already!
Does your site have a contact page? I'm having trouble locating it but, I'd like to shoot you an e-mail. I've got some ideas for your blog you might be interested in hearing. Either way, great site and I look forward to seeing it develop over time. facebook sign in
